MATCH REPORT | Valencia CF draw with Mexico in friendly (2-2)
Dani Gómez scores the two goals for the team.
The 'Sempre Falles' iniciative continues this Saturday at Mestalla, with a Ninot figurine to be handed over to visiting side Elche CF on LaLiga Matchday 21.
Before the match gets underway, the figurine will be presented to a representative of the away side on behalf of Valencia CF and the Ayuntamiento city council, as has become a tradition this season.
On this occasion, the Ninot has been designed by Sergio Gómez, an artist from Alicante. It features the Valencia CF mascot, painted like a tile from the region, with 'tattoos' to represent emblems of Valencian culture: Ciudad de las Ciencias, El Miguelete, La Albufera, oranges, etc. It also shows the 'Magrana del misterio' from Elche.
The Sempre Falles initiative aims to help local artists with work and exposure during a difficult time, with last year's Las Fallas festival having been cancelled due to Covid-19.
